Grants Manager, circa £35,000
The Tudor Trust is an independent grant-making charitable trust which supports organisations working in any part of the UK. Each year the Trust makes around 365 grants to organisations which are working to build stronger communities and which address the many different needs of people at the margins of society.
The Grants Manager will join a small, well-established Grants Team at Tudor. The post involves the assessment of initial funding proposals, the preparation of full applications for discussion with our trustees and will also include taking on a varied portfolio of active grants. The Tudor Trust works alongside applicants, acknowledging that they are the experts at finding solutions to meet the needs of their own communities. We are therefore seeking someone with a high level of emotional intelligence, good listening skills and the ability to provide useful and appropriate support to the smaller voluntary organisations which are our grant holders.
The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to think and plan strategically and the capacity to manage a diverse and demanding workload. Previous grant-making experience is not necessary, but an understanding of the issues facing smaller voluntary organisations, including their financial management, organisational structures and governance issues, is important.
Deadline for applications: 10:00am on Wednesday 14 January 2015
