About the A B Charitable Trust

Founded 28 years ago, the A B Charitable Trust funds charities that support marginalised and excluded people, with a focus on:
• Migrants, refugees and asylum seekers
• Criminal justice and penal reform
• Human rights, particularly access to justice

About the role

The Trust is on an upward trajectory- our grant total was over £1.6 million in 2017/18, and in the coming years the Trust is going on an exciting journey to grow and develop. The Grants Administrator will need to have a genuine interest in and commitment to delivering a first-class administrative function. They will be good at day-to-day administration and will take pride in doing this job well and completing tasks to a high standard. A key role in a small, friendly, hardworking team, committed to providing a professional grants programme, the Grants Administrator will make a valuable contribution to the work of the trust and will enable greater efficiency and effectiveness in our grant making.

About you

The Grants Administrator will need to be a team player, who can work flexibly and collaboratively to add value to the work. They will need to genuinely enjoy administrative challenges and will be confident, able to work independently and manage their own workload. The successful applicant will have experience of administration, in particular database management, and will be committed to supporting ABCT’s areas of work.
