  • Providing core funding for essential costs
  • Providing the Pears Hub – a work, meeting and networking space for grantees
  • Running a Professional Development Programme

About the role

The Pears Hub Coordinator will take ownership of all elements of overseeing the Hub which is an integral part of the Foundation and an extension of our grants, it is the place where all the different forms of our support come together. Pears grantees are able to book hot desking, co-working and meeting space and it is used as the base for the Professional Development Programme.

The Hub Coordinator will also be responsible for the organisation and smooth running of our Professional Development Events. As a key part of a small, friendly and busy team the Hub Coordinator will also provide administrative support to the foundation team. It’s a busy and varied role which makes a valuable contribution to the work of the Foundation and enables greater efficiency and effectiveness in our work.

About you

The Pears Hub Coordinator will relish working in a team, they will need to be able to work flexibly, accurately and collaboratively and be a good problem solver. They will need to have a genuine interest in running the Pears Hub which is an office and events space for our grantees, they will also enjoy managing events and tackling administrative challenges. They will be confident, friendly, professional and diplomatic, with high levels of Emotional Intelligence and they will thrive in an environment that involves a lot of relationship building.

This could be the right opportunity for a range of potential candidates from different career paths, as many of the skills involved are transferable: perhaps you have experience in public-facing roles, administrative and office assistance, or events and facilities support. Whatever your motivations, the Pears Foundation would like to hear from you, particularly if you have the qualities described above and also you: enjoy a variety of administrative tasks and challenges, are a good communicator, are confident with finances, are organised, and have strong attention to detail.

We offer a 5% employer pension contribution, life insurance and Employee Assistance Programme. The role is primarily office-based in order to support the smooth running of the Pears Hub but we will consider ways to incorporate flexible working within that.
