About Tudor

The Tudor Trust is an independent grant-making charitable trust which supports organisations working in every part of the UK. Each year the Trust makes around 300 grants to organisations which are working to build stronger communities and which address the many different needs of people at the margins of society.

About the role

The Grants Manager will join an engaged and creative Grants Team of eight at Tudor. The post involves the assessment of initial funding proposals, the preparation of full applications for discussion with our trustees and will also include taking on a varied portfolio of active grants. The Tudor Trust works alongside applicants, acknowledging that they are the experts at finding solutions to meet the needs of their own communities. We are therefore seeking someone with a high level of emotional intelligence, good listening skills and the ability to provide useful and appropriate support to the smaller voluntary organisations which are our grant holders.

About you

The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to think and plan strategically, and the capacity to manage a diverse and demanding workload. Previous grant-making experience could be useful, but first-hand knowledge of the issues facing smaller voluntary organisations, including their financial management, organisational structures and governance issues, will also be very important.
